Dr. Ebele Stella Nwokoye (nee Nwabude) is a lecturer in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Anambra State. She graduated with second class honours (upper division) from the University of Uyo, Uyo Akwa Ibom State and has both a Master degree in labour economics and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in development economics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka.
She has contributed numerous book chapters to social science-based books, co-authored three books, and written over 40 journal articles which have been published both locally and internationally. She has also attended both national and international conferences.
Ebele was the managing editor of Journal of Economic Studies (JES), published by the Department of Economics, Unizik, from 2013 to 2017 and is currently the editor of Nigerian Journal of Energy and Environmental Economics (NJEEE) published by the Association of Energy and Environmental Economist, Nigeria. She is currently the Coordinator for Postgraduate Programmes in the Department of Economics, Unizik.
Dr. Ebele Nwokoye is an academic to the core and aspires to develop macroeconomic models useful in the formulation of theories relevant to the development of the African economy in general and the Nigerian economy in particular. She is an Associate Fellow of the African Heritage Institute Enugu; a Full Member of the Nigerian Economic Society; a Fellow of the Institute of Policy Management Development; as well as a Research Associate at the Centre for Sustainable Development Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka.
